• The Department of Pharmaceutical analysis is a central part of all the post graduate departments.
• The department is provided with eminent faculty and researchers. The principal focus of the department is to development and application of analytical methods and techniques relevant to pharmaceutical sciences.
• The department of Pharmaceutical Analysis is headed by Dr. P. Solairaj M.Pharm, Ph.D, who is the recipient of Best Scientist award from USDIA-Jadavpur University-IICB Kolkatta and he also received Best Teacher award from The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai, from the Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr. K. Rosaiah and also the recipient of Roche Pharma award from Switzerland. He has more than 26 years of professional experience in teaching, guiding expertise in analytical, natural product drugs. He is the consultant spectroscopist for researchers and scholars from various universities and colleges.He has number of publications in International and national Journals. He is the resource person in analytical for Pharmacy colleges. He is expert in spectroscopy and chromatography techniques, actively involved in analytical-investigative research, problem-solving and method development and offer a contract spectroscopy service to scholars through a comprehensive data.
• The department has High-tech well equipped analytical instruments labs serve as a strong framework for our undergraduates and post graduates to help them develop capabilities to become world class pharmaceutical analysts and scientists.
• The analytical lab provides specialist analytical and research services for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology products, fine chemicals and other substances using a variety of spectroscopic, physicochemical and theoretical techniques
• The department involves in various research activities like development and validation of novel analytical methods by using HPLC & UV-visible spectrophotometer.
• The faculty members have been attending various seminars, workshops and conferences at National and International levels

• They have also been presenting and publishing their research findings in National/International journals.
• Many research projects are currently under way in a range of general and specific analytical problems utilizing a variety of instrumental and mathematical techniques.
